Combined Boarding Cattery terms and conditions




1. Daily boarding fees,

a. Please refer to Pricing board, Page 3 of this website.

Please note Sharing is only available to compatible cats from the same

household or cat community

Less than 3 days boarding is permissible, but the minimum charge is for 3

days boarding, with the exception of the Christmas period when the

minimum charge is for 7 days.

For boarding periods of 28 days or over discounted rates are available, and

25% of the overall fee will be required at the time of booking.

Boarding for 8 weeks or longer will require interim payments. We reserve

the right to ask for up to a 25% deposit to secure a booking.

VIEWING: Viewing of the cattery is recommended and welcome by arrangement.

b,Please appreciate that the Full boarding fees are payable on arrival of your cat(s)
or before.

c. We are able to accept Payment by BACS, cash or cheque. 

d. Rates are per day (including arrival and departure days) and includes all food,

bedding, litter, accommodation and heating,.

e. We are able to collect and return your cat to you, however we will need to apply a
charge for this service which is limited to £1.00 per mile and payable upon
collection of  your cat(s).

f. Whilst every care and precaution is taken during boarding responsibility can
 only be accepted at the owner's risk

g. Any additional costs incurred by us, such as flea treatments, etc., are payable

 when you collect your cat(s).

h· Provisional bookings will only be held for a maximum of 7 days.


a. Please ensure your cat(s) is/are transported in a safe and secure carrier, in good

condition, designed for transportation of cats

b. Check-in and Check-outs. We try to be flexable to suit your needs and
seek to arrange a drop off and collection time with you unless during exceptionally

busy times when the following apply;=

Opening and closing times:
Monday to Saturday
9.00-11.00 am and 4.00-6.00pm

Sunday are by pre-agreed appointments only.





a. Your cat's inoculations for Feline Infectious Enteritis and upper respiratory
infections (Cat Flu) must be up to date.

b. Your cat's up to date vaccination certificate will need to be presented prior to

Please remember your cat cannot be boarded without it, so ensure your
vaccinations are boosted annually. This is in the interest of your cat's health and
those who are staying in the cattery at the same time.


c. Where a full course of vaccinations is required, these must be completed at
least 7 days before boarding.


d. The annual booster vaccination should be carried out at least seven days before




a. Cats may be collected by arrangement or during our opening hours during busy

periods. In very exceptional circumstances, cats may be collected outside of these
hours by appointment only; there may be an additional charge for this service. 


b.  We require a contact number of a friend, neighbour, relative or owner’s mobile

phone number in the likelihood of you being delayed or problem in picking up your

cat. You will need to arrange for someone to be available to collect your cat on

your behalf if necessary, as we cannot guarantee to be able to hold your cat for an

extra day. Please inform us of the standby collectors contact details when you drop

your cat off for boarding.





a. No cat suffering from, or suspected to be suffering from, any infectious or
contagious disease can be accepted. The proprietor reserves the right to refuse
admission to any cat showing signs of ill health pending advice from a Veterinary
Surgeon. Owners will appreciate that this is essential in order to safeguard the health
of all cats boarded.

 b Cats over the age of 6 months which have not been neutered will not be accepted for  boarding.

c. Owners must inform us at the time of booking or arrival of any medical history.

d. We reserve the right to refuse admission of any cat showing signs of illness

pending  veterinary advice.

e In the event of injury or illness we will contact your veterinary surgeon who will be

called to attend or the cat may be taken to a vetenary surgeon’s care at the discretion
of the proprietor or management of the cattery whichever is best for the cat.


a.  We take a great deal of care to ensure that our facility remains a safe haven from fleas and worms so your cat doesn't contract them here.

b. An effective flea management programme requires treatment by a vet-

recommended formula every 4-5 weeks. If your cat is not on a regular flea
treatment programme, please apply a flea treatment such as Frontline just before
your cat comes to holiday with us.

c. If your cat has not been wormed within the last three months prior to staying with

us, please administer an appropriate worming treatment before boarding

d. If we find that a cat boarding with us has arrived with fleas and/or worms, we

will administer an appropriate treatment, the cost of which will be added to your
final invoice.


a. We will administer medication to manageable cats with food or through

liquid. Tablets may be administered orally provided the cat accepts this and

does not become stressed or injure cattery staff, if this occurs then the

cat will have to be referred to your vet. Transportation to and form the

vet is charged at £2.00 per mile plus waiting time of £15.00 per hour.

b. Any veterinary fees incurred in this will be charged to the owner of thecat directly by your vet.

c. Any treatment considered advisable by the vet will be carried out
at the owner's expense.  


a. A non refundable deposit of £30.00 is required within 7 days of booking;

Cancellation of the full booking within 28 days of the commencement of the

booking will result in the full boarding fees being due for payment, unless we are able

to reallocate for these dates.

b. Cancellation of the full booking within 29 to 40 days of the commencement of the

booking will result in 50% of the full boarding fees being due for payment;

unless we are able to reallocate for these dates.

c. In the event of owners reducing the length of the booking or returning before the

end of the boarding period booked, the full period booked will be charged. There are

no discounts for early collections


a. At Queen Charlton Cattery we pride ourselves in the attention and Quality Cat

Care provided to your cat whilst on holiday with us.

b. We will care for your cat(s) according to the highest levels of care as

established by the Feline Advisory Bureau and you accept that your cat(s)

are boarded with us at your own risk.

c. You consent to the use of photographs and brief summary of your cats story, with all

details annonymised a on our social media pages and website.  Unless you request that

we do not use them.

10. Owners must produce an up to date vaccination certificate on arrival.  

Cats over 6 months of age are only accepted if neutered/spayed.

11. No cat suffering from, or suspected to be suffering from, any infectious or
contagious disease can be accepted. The proprietor reserves the right to refuse
admission to any cat showing signs of ill health pending advice from a
Veterinary Surgeon. Owners will appreciate

that this is essential in order to safeguard the health of all cats boarded.

c. Any items left unclaimed by owners after two months following boarding will be

disposed of.
